In 1991, Phillip Stark founded Peak Performers, Inc. With over twenty years' experience in personnel management and human resource consulting, dentists, entrepreneurs and other human resource professionals seek Phil's expertise regularly. Phil is a frequent guest speaker at numerous dental societies, study clubs, association meetings, dental schools and universities. Phil co-authored the Peak Employee Manual and the Peak Personnel System, both unique publications for modern dental offices. Phil brings leading edge business concepts to the ever-changing dental profession.
Ken Smith, MBA, Vice President, Practice Consultant
Ken is a graduate of Ferris State University, Wayne State University and has received his MBA from the University of New Haven. Ken brings over twenty years experience in the health care field to Peak Performers. Ken's background includes supervising the operations of multiple dental practices as well as work in the optometric and veterinarian fields. Ken is experienced in the "business side" of practice management and is skilled in the areas of human resource management, interviewing and recruiting, customer service as well as revenue and profit growth.
Vicki L. Harkey, RDH, MBA, Senior Consultant
Following six years as a dental assistant, Vicki graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Detroit. While practicing dental hygiene full time, she earned her MBA in 1993. She is co-author of Peak Employee Manual and the Peak Personnel System. Vicki is known for a unique and refreshing combination of dental and business skills that make her solutions practical and "real world". Because of her wide-ranging work in dental offices of all configurations, Vicki is able to offer problem solving suggestions that will increase accountability and reduce liability, ultimately strengthening profits for your practice.
Ken Chio, CPA , CFO, Financial Consultant
Ken has over fourteen years experience in public accounting with six years as an independent CFO for several companies. Ken is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a BBA in Accounting.
Marina Marchese, Recruiting Consultant
Marina started her career upon immigrating from the former Soviet Union in 1991 by being hired at a dental office as a support staff and dental assistant. While working full-time, she earned her bachelor's degree in Business Health Care Administration and later continued her education by pursuing a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Marina's experience includes handling staffing and hiring needs. Because of her true passion for the human resources field, she has been very successful in developing and maintaining relationships with clients and employees. She is recognized for her ability of providing compatible candidates for each of Peak Performers' clients. Marina provides timely and quality solutions for temporary staffing, direct placements, and practice management.
Ruth Holka, Recruiting Consultant
Ruth joined the Peak team in November 2010 after the merger of RDH Health Services with Peak. Ruth has been responsible for the staffing and recruiting at RDH since 1994. Her experience includes working as a chairside assistant and in the business area of two local dental practices. Her extensive experience in placement and staffing gives her the ability to make the right decisions for the staff and practices.
Ilene O'Neil, Manager of Continuing Education
Ilene joined the Peak team in November 2010 after the merger of RDH Health Services with Peak. Ilene had managed the Continuing Education programs at RDH since January 2003. She received her Bachelor of Business Education from Eastern Michigan University and has extensive corporate training and consulting experience in staffing, higher education, automotive and heath industries.
Mary Stark, Training Consultant
Mary is a skilled corporate trainer and has developed training programs for small businesses as well as Fortune 500 corporations. Topics include Customer Service Skills, Effective Listening, Time Management and Team Skills. Mary is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
